Latest advice from Golf Australia regarding COVID-19

Thursday 14, May 2020

Golf Australia’s focus during the COVID-19 pandemic will always be the wellbeing of the broader community.

Acknowledging the long challenge that lies ahead of all Australians during this pandemic, Golf Australia have been encouraged to see golf played in comparative safety in five states and one territory in recent weeks as we all adopt social distancing necessities.

Under strict and specific safety protocols – enforced by state and territory guidelines as well as individual club rules – Golf Australia is now satisfied that golf can be played at minimal risk.

While this is a difficult time for the golf industry and wider society, Golf Australia is committed to working with clubs and facilities across the state to ensure that we return a vibrant, strong industry.

We will keep you all up to date as to the status of these discussions, although it should be noted that as of now there are no further restrictions on current greenkeeping operations.
